Local Candidate Information
There are important residency requirements for local candidates so please review the Wisconsin Candidate Eligibility rules.
Some local offices are considered partisan where candidates run representing a political party. Other local offices are non-partisan meaning candidates don't run as a member of a political party. Examples of each are listed on the right. Local offices have always had political and partisan leans and issues. However, those components have increased in recent years.
See this listing of Wisconsin Elections Commission forms.
